Jun Sun is a Professor of Computer Science at Singapore Management University in the School of Computing and Information Systems. He earned his PhD from the National University of Singapore in 2006. He currently serves as Co-Director of the Centre for Research for Intelligent Software Engineering and holds the position of Lee Kuan Yew Fellow. His career at Singapore Management University began with his appointment as Associate Professor in 2019, followed by promotion to full Professor. Prior to joining Singapore Management University, he completed his Bachelor and Doctoral degrees in Computer Science at the National University of Singapore. Jun Sun's research focuses on formal methods, software engineering, program analysis, secure software engineering, and AI safety. He teaches courses including Software Engineering, Programming, Secure Software Engineering, Program Analysis, and Formal Methods. He has received recognition such as the Lee Kuan Yew Fellowship and the ASE 2021 Distinguished PC Member Award. His work has contributed to advancements in cybersecurity and the safety of software and AI systems. Jun Sun maintains an active role in academic conferences and has been involved in research projects emphasizing digital transformation and governance of AI systems. His contributions extend to mentoring students and collaborating on initiatives within the School of Computing and Information Systems at Singapore Management University.
