About Kim

Dr. Kim Gidall is a Senior Lecturer in General Practice at the Bundaberg Regional Clinical Unit within the University of Queensland's Rural Clinical School, part of the Medical School in the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences. She holds the position of Primary Care Workforce Lead for the Medical School's Rural Clinical School and serves as the Primary Care Workforce Lead for the Regional Training Hub Wide Bay. Dr. Gidall supervises medical students, RACGP registrars, and ACRRM registrars, contributing to medical education in rural and regional settings. She is also a General Practitioner in Bundaberg with over 20 years of experience, during which she has worked as a practice owner and sole trader. Born in New Zealand, Dr. Gidall moved to Australia in 1998 and has established herself as a dedicated GP in Bundaberg. Prior to attending the University of Otago Medical School in Dunedin, New Zealand, she earned a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Canterbury and a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and zoology. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Additionally, Dr. Gidall serves as a GP editor for Health Pathways Wide Bay with the Primary Health Network.

Dr. Gidall's career reflects a strong commitment to primary care and rural medical workforce development.
