Lawrence Yeo serves as Teaching Assistant at Curtin University's Singapore Campus, falling under the Global Curtin portfolio. Since July 2024, he has been a Faculty Member in Business at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia. He concurrently holds adjunct lecturer roles at the School of Business, Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), and the School of Business, Singapore Institute of Management (SIM). In these capacities, Yeo teaches courses such as Strategic Management within the School of Management, Faculty of Business and Law at Curtin University. An experienced strategy consultant, he demonstrates skills in market, financial, and strategic analysis, sales, and marketing, while also functioning as a Business Coach and Trainer. His academic background includes a Master of Public Administration in Public Policy, earned from September 2007 to August 2010 in Singapore.
Lawrence Yeo brings over two decades of expertise as an Asia strategy consultant, having served more than 500 Fortune 500 and larger domestic corporate clients on matters of international strategy, marketing, investment, and trade. He is the longest-serving columnist for fDi Intelligence in the Financial Times, a position held since May 2005, where he writes on Asia business, investment, and trade for a global audience exceeding 50,000 C-level executives. Yeo's research contributions include co-authoring the chapter 'Impact of Digital Technology on Cybercrime,' published in January 2026 with DOI 10.4324/9781003586043-17, alongside collaborators Murphy Choy, Adrian Heng Tsai Tan, and Kee Chye Leo. This work examines the rising trend of cybercrime facilitated by digital technologies on online platforms. Furthermore, he authored a detailed article on 'Op-Ed Pitching and Writing' in Curtin Singapore's Research Pulse newsletter, offering practical guidance on crafting pitches—including addressing what the topic is, why it matters now, and why the author is credible—structuring pieces with strong openings and closings, ensuring conciseness and timeliness, leveraging subject expertise, maintaining an independent voice, collaborating with editors, adhering to media guidelines, selecting appropriate outlets, and following up effectively.
