Lucinda Morris is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Newcastle, associated with the Global Centre for Research and Training in Radiation Oncology within the School of Health Sciences, College of Health, Medicine and Wellbeing. As a radiation oncologist, she specializes in lymphoma, breast, and upper gastrointestinal cancers and is recognized as an international expert in geriatric radiation oncology. Her professional qualifications include a BA, MBBS, FRANZCR, and Graduate Certificate in Clinical Redesign. She serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Geriatric Oncology and is a member of the Clinical Advisory Group for the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA).
Morris has a distinguished career in clinical practice and research. She has been a Radiation Oncologist with NSW Health since March 2016 and a Staff Specialist Radiation Oncologist at Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre in Westmead, Sydney. Previously, she completed a radiation oncology fellowship at the same centre. Her research contributions include 29 publications with over 160 citations on ResearchGate, focusing on radiation oncology practices for older adults and patient-reported outcomes. Key publications comprise 'Review of current best practice in radiation oncology for older adults with cancer' (2025, Journal of Geriatric Oncology), 'Global Expert Perspectives on Radiation Oncology Education for Managing Older Adults With Cancer' (2026, Technical Innovations & Patient Support in Radiation Oncology), 'Using PROs and PROMs in routine head and neck cancer care: what do health professionals perceive as barriers?' (2019, Journal of Medical Radiation Sciences), and contributions to studies on radiotherapy utilization rates (2022). She has held leadership positions such as Founding Co-Chair and Past Chair of Targeting Cancer, Lead of the Radiation Oncology Task Force, and was featured in the RANZCR Community Spotlight. Morris is an invited faculty member for the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society (ISRS) Congress 2026 and has presented at international conferences including SIOG 2024 on updates in radiation oncology.
