Associate Professor Md Lutfur Rahman serves as Associate Professor of Finance and Deputy Head of School, Teaching & Learning (Undergraduate) at Newcastle Business School, University of Newcastle, Australia. He joined the Newcastle Business School as a Lecturer in Finance in June 2019, after serving as a Scholarly Teaching Fellow at the same school for two years. In his roles, Rahman has held positions including Head of the Accounting, Finance and Economics Discipline, Program Convener for the Master of Applied Finance, and Database and Finance Lab Coordinator. His academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Newcastle, completed in 2016 with a thesis titled 'Return Predictability in South Asian Stock Markets,' an MBA in Finance from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, and a BBA Honours degree in Finance and Banking from the University of Dhaka. Rahman's expertise extends to advanced econometric software such as EViews, Stata, and R, supporting his quantitative research approach in finance.
