Dr. Macgorine Cassell serves as Professor of Business Administration at Fairmont State University within the College of Business and Aviation. Her academic credentials include a B.B.A. from Fort Valley State College, an M.P.A. from Clark Atlanta University, an M.B.A. from National University, and a Ph.D. in Leadership and Human Behavior from United States International University (Alliant International University), conferred in 1988, with a specialization in Organizational Behavior. She joined Fairmont State University in 1992 and has accumulated 27 years in higher education teaching by 2009, alongside 4 years of non-teaching experience.
Dr. Cassell's teaching encompasses Principles of Management, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources Management, Organizational Change and Development, Organizational Theory and Design, Strategic Management and Policy, International Business, and Principles of Marketing. Dr. Cassell has conducted textbook reviews for Management (Hitt, Black, Porter; Pearson Prentice Hall, 2nd ed., 2009), Organizational Behavior: Improving Performance and Commitment in the Workplace (Colquitt, LePine, Wesson; McGraw-Hill, 2009), Global Business Today (Hill; McGraw-Hill Irwin, 5th ed., 2007), among others. She has chaired conference sessions, reviewed papers for organization behavior teaching conferences, and received student nominations recognizing her effective teaching. Actively engaged in university service, she serves on the Faculty Personnel Committee and Faculty Senate committees, representing Marketing and Management (2023-2024).
