Campbell has built an extensive career in physiotherapy, working in both public and private health sectors across New Zealand, Australia, the United States, and the United Kingdom. For 15 years, she has served as a clinical educator for undergraduate and postgraduate students, contributing significantly to the training of future physiotherapists. In her current role at the University of Otago, she works clinically at the Dunedin School of Physiotherapy Clinic, where she supervises students, providing them with hands-on experience in real-world settings. Her professional approach emphasizes person-centred care, utilizing a holistic perspective to promote patient self-education and ongoing management. This is integrated with collaborative management strategies that combine active patient participation, such as at-home exercises, with in-clinic manual techniques. Additionally, Margaret Campbell is an accredited instructor for the McKenzie Institute New Zealand, where she teaches postgraduate courses on mechanical diagnosis and therapy. She has held positions as Committee Chair and Faculty member with the institute since 2016, further extending her influence in specialized musculoskeletal physiotherapy education and practice.
