Miss Martina Budimir is a Lecturer in Communication Design at the School of Art and Design, within the College of Creative Arts, Design and Humanities at Adelaide University. She holds a Bachelor of Visual Communication (Graphic Design) from the University of South Australia, completed between 2002 and 2008, and a Graduate Diploma in Visual Art and Design (Graphic Design) from the University of South Australia, obtained from 2009 to 2010. Prior to her current position, Budimir served as a Lecturer at the University of South Australia from 2014 to 2025. Her professional focus centers on communication design, with teaching strengths in Web Design, Digital Design, and Graphic Design.
Budimir teaches a range of undergraduate courses essential to design education, including GRAP 3007 Professional Practice Studio (2025, 2024), GRAP 3006 Communication Design Studio 4 (2025, 2024), GRAP 2020 Design for Web (2025, 2024), and COMM 2080 Design for Digital Technologies (2025, 2024). She also lectures in foundational courses such as Thinking By Design (GRAP 1000), Digital Design Principles and Methods (GRAP 1004), Principles of UX Design (GRAP 2000), and additional iterations of Communication Design Studio 4 (GRAP 3024) and Professional Practice Studio (GRAP 3900). These courses support programs like the Bachelor of Design (Communication Design), Bachelor of Digital Media, and Bachelor of Business, held at the Adelaide City Campus West. Budimir has contributed to research outputs, co-authoring 'Reporting Peripheral Artery Disease in Claudicants: Lessons Learned From the TASC-Ability Study' by Gahide et al., published in 2023 in the Journal of Endovascular Therapy (30(2), 259-268), and 'Paclitaxel and mortality in patients with claudication and de novo femoropopliteal lesions: a historical cohort study' by Gahide et al., published in 2021 in CVIR Endovascular (4(1)).
