Mohammad Qasaimeh is Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Bioengineering at New York University Abu Dhabi and Global Network Associate Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. He also serves as Associate Director of Faculty Scholarship Development at NYU Abu Dhabi. He directs the Advanced Microfluidics and Microdevices Laboratory (AMMLab) at NYU Abu Dhabi. His research focuses on the development of microfluidic and MEMS devices for biomedical applications and point-of-care diagnostics.
Qasaimeh earned his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from McGill University. Prior to joining NYUAD, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He previously served as a Research Assistant at McGill University and as a Research Fellow at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School. During his doctoral studies, he received the NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship, the Alexander Graham Bell Graduate Scholarship (CGSD3), and the FQRNT Students-Researchers Stars Award. His work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals including Nature Communications, Lab on a Chip, and Biomedical Microdevices.
