Dr. Natasha Noble serves as Senior Research Officer in the School of Medicine and Public Health within the College of Health, Medicine and Wellbeing at the University of Newcastle, Australia. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Behavioural Science in Relation to Medicine from the University of Newcastle in 2017, with a thesis investigating the prevalence and clustering of health risk factors among individuals attending Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services, alongside evaluations of electronic screening feasibility and intervention preferences. Noble also holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from the same university. Her research interests include Indigenous health, health behaviour, health risk factors, prevention, and public health. Over more than seven years with the Health Behaviour Research Collaborative, she has contributed to projects exploring barriers to optimal dementia care for general practitioners and geriatricians, patient perceptions of preparation for breast cancer surgery, optimal care for pre-diagnostic and early breast cancer, telehealth support for breast cancer surgery patients, and dementia care in Indigenous settings.
Noble received the 2009 Faculty Medal from the Faculty of Science and Information Technology and the 2011 Best Research Higher Degree confirmation presentation award from the Faculty of Health and Medicine at the University of Newcastle. She has participated in funded projects, including the 2022 Australian Secondary School Alcohol and Drug Survey on adolescent gambling prevalence ($135,200, NSW Department of Customer Service), and earlier initiatives on multiple health risks in Aboriginal medical services (NSW Ministry of Health, 2011-2014). Notable publications encompass 'Which modifiable health risk behaviours are related?
