Peter Tziavrangos holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia, obtained in 1996. Inspired by his early participation in elite-level sports, he chose physiotherapy as a career to enable patients to live their best and most active lives, whether recovering from injury, managing health conditions, or pursuing fitness goals. He gained clinical experience in public hospitals in Australia and the United Kingdom, specializing in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. His areas of expertise include the treatment and management of back pain, headaches, neck pain, and clinical Pilates. As an APPI Pilates Course Educator, he has contributed to professional development in Pilates instruction.
For over 20 years, Peter Tziavrangos has been the Managing Director of Move for Better Health, overseeing multidisciplinary allied health clinics with three locations in South Australia. He worked clinically full-time until 2024, focusing on headaches and neck pain. In leadership roles, he was elected to the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Board of Directors in 2021 and has served as National Vice President since 2023. He chairs the APA Nominations, Remuneration and Governance Committee and is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee and Insurance and Risk Committee. As a Director on the Australian Physiotherapy Council Board, he contributes to assessing overseas-trained physiotherapists, accrediting Australian physiotherapy university courses, and addressing profession-wide workforce challenges. He is also a member of the University of South Australia’s Physiotherapy Education and Training Advisory Panel, sits on the Board of Volleyball South Australia, and previously chaired the APA Business Group, supporting clinic owners through the COVID-19 pandemic. A Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), Tziavrangos emphasizes strategic planning, professional education, and collaboration among healthcare providers, government, and industry stakeholders to deliver safe, high-quality, accessible care.
