Raymond Kim is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. He received his MD/PhD from the University of Toronto in Medical Biophysics, followed by residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Toronto and a fellowship in Medical Genetics at The Hospital for Sick Children. He holds certifications including FCCMG, FACMG, and FRCPC. Dr. Kim serves as Medical Director of the Familial Cancer Clinic and Cancer Early Detection at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and as a staff medical geneticist at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Sinai Health System, and The Hospital for Sick Children. He is also the Leader of the Ontario Hereditary Cancer Research Network at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research.
His clinical practice focuses on hereditary cancer syndromes and complex multi-disciplinary care for adult hereditary disorders. Research interests include the integration of novel genomic technologies such as whole genome sequencing and cell-free DNA into clinical care, as well as hereditary cancer syndromes. Dr. Kim chairs the CCMG Canada-wide Cancer Genetics and Genomics community of practice. Select publications include studies on incidental findings from cancer next-generation sequencing panels (2021), implementation of virtual cancer genetic services during COVID-19 (2020), characterization of a Canadian von Hippel-Lindau disease cohort (2019), and a Canadian multisociety roadmap for BRCA-associated gynaecologic malignancies (2018). He maintains a verified Google Scholar profile with research in medical genetics, cancer genetics, and genomic medicine.
