Dr Scott Weeks is a Lecturer in Occupational Therapy in the School of Allied Health and Human Performance within the College of Health at Adelaide University. He plays a key role in occupational therapy education, teaching and coordinating multiple undergraduate courses essential to the program. These include Principles of Occupational Therapy Practice (REHB 2049 and OCCU 2008), Lifespan Development for Occupational Therapy Practice (HLTH 1043 and HLTH 1014), Introduction to Occupational Therapy Practice (REHB 1030 and OCCU 1002), Enabling Occupation through Environmental Adaptation (REHB 2043 and OCCU 2004), Occupational Therapy Practice in Occupational Rehabilitation (REHB 2046), and Occupational Therapy Field Placement 2 (REHB 6005 and OCCU 6000). These courses provide students with foundational knowledge, practical skills in environmental adaptation, rehabilitation techniques, developmental perspectives, and hands-on clinical experience.
Dr Weeks' scholarly contributions center on occupational therapy research, with publications addressing sensory interventions for children with autism spectrum disorder, rehabilitation following brain injury, and educational assessment methods.
