Dr Stuart Dinmore is a Senior Lecturer in Academic Development at the Teaching Innovation Unit of Adelaide University. In this role, he supports academic staff in the implementation of technology-enhanced and blended learning environments. His work encompasses the design and effective use of collaborative and flexible learning spaces, the provision of professional development opportunities for teaching staff, and the creation of multimedia content for learning. Stuart also maintains a strong interest in widening participation and inclusion, exploring how digital technologies can remove barriers to learning for all students.
Dinmore's research interests include documentary film and digital documentary, digital literacy, teaching and learning using Web 2.0 technologies, experiential learning, Australian media industries, and ePortfolios. He is the author or co-author of several peer-reviewed publications. Notable journal articles include 'Authentic assessment: Academic developers and curriculum transformation through distributed leadership' (2025, Issues in Educational Research, with Nallaya, Kenyon, Gentili, and Janssen); 'Building Australian tertiary educator knowledge and skill in universal design for learning' (2023, Journal of Postsecondary Education and Disability, with Leif et al.); 'Beyond lecture capture: Creating digital video content for online learning - a case study' (2019, Journal of University Teaching and Learning Practice); 'Creating inclusive university curriculum: implementing universal design for learning in an enabling program' (2015, Widening Participation and Lifelong Learning, with Stokes); and 'The case for universal design for learning in technology enhanced environments' (2014, International Journal of Cyber Ethics in Education). He has also contributed book chapters, such as 'The Case for Universal Design for Learning in Technology Enhanced Environments' (2016, IGI Global), and conference papers including 'Voice-to-text transcription of lecture recordings' (2016, ASCILITE, with Gao) and 'A framework for evaluating online learning in an ecology of sustainable innovation' (2011, ASCILITE, with Bradford and Kehrwald). Dinmore is eligible to co-supervise Masters and PhD students.
