Buckley has authored or co-authored over 136 peer-reviewed publications, accumulating more than 2,400 citations and 34,000 reads. Key publications include 'The effect of high-fidelity simulation training on medical-surgical graduate nurses' perceived ability to respond to patient clinical emergencies' (2009, 267 citations), 'Physiological correlates of bereavement and the impact of bereavement interventions' (2012, 235 citations), 'A scoping review of what is known of the physical health of adults with autism spectrum disorder' (2018, 179 citations), 'The effectiveness of high fidelity simulation on medical-surgical registered nurses' ability to recognise and respond to clinical emergencies' (2011, 178 citations), and 'Triggering of Acute Coronary Occlusion by Episodes of Anger' (2015).
