Zhixin Dai is Professor of Public Finance at the School of Finance of Renmin University of China and Founding Director of the Behavioural Experimental Taxation Research Center. He is also a Research Fellow at the National Academy of Development and Strategy at Renmin University of China and an Associate Member of GATE-CNRS in Lyon–Saint-Étienne, France. Dai earned his Ph.D. in Economics with highest honours from the University of Lyon in 2016 under the supervision of Professor Marie Claire Villeval. His research focuses on the intersection of experimental and behavioural economics, behavioural public finance, and tax compliance, with particular emphasis on audit policies, taxpayer behaviour, and field experiments. He has published in leading journals including Management Science, the European Economic Review, and the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization. Dai received the first best paper award from the French Association of Experimental Economics (AFSEE) in 2015 for his work on the efficiency of crackdowns in public transportations. He maintains affiliations with international research networks and contributes to studies on law enforcement efficiency, cheating behaviour, and enforcement policy design.
