Drew Weissman is an American immunologist and physician-scientist. He shared the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with Katalin Karikó for discoveries concerning nucleoside base modifications that enabled the development of effective mRNA vaccines against COVID-19. He is affiliated with the Penn Institute for RNA Innovations at the University of Pennsylvania.
