Hamilton O. Smith

Hamilton O. Smith is an American microbiologist. He shared the 1978 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for the discovery of restriction enzymes and their application to problems of molecular genetics. He was affiliated with Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
