Essential Duties Summary

• Collect and analyze disability verification records, certify student’s eligibility for services, and determine reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities per the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
• Facilitate the provision of support services, i.e., auxiliary aids, assistive equipment, academic support tutorials, etc.
• Provide psychosocial education and coaching assessment services to support student situational concerns that impact academic success and measure intervention strategic plan outcomes.
• Provide consultations, presentations, and workshops for faculty, staff, and students on disability laws and regulations that promote an inclusive, diverse, equitable, and accessible learning environment.
• Coordinate exam proctoring administrative processes and services.
• Manage a service caseload and provide ongoing case management. Monitor accommodations, academic needs, student progress, and academic standings.
• Maintain electronic confidential files and service records. Generate monthly service reports that support statistical data for program operations.
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of campus supportive resources and cultivate internal and external professional partnerships that support student academic performance.
• Maintain awareness of best practices, emerging trends, and new legislation relevant to counseling and disability support services.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Hiring Range
$59,442.00-$75,788.56

Education
Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, and/or Rehabilitation Counseling from an accredited college or university.

Required Licensing/Certification
Professional certification or license is preferred but not required.
