Position Summary:
The Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology and the Thurston Arthritis Research Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for an Open Rank (tenure/tenure track) physician-scientist faculty position. Applicants with a research focus in autoimmunity and/or inflammation relevant to rheumatic diseases are preferable. Applicants will be expected to establish and maintain an extramurally funded research program. The successful candidate will have his/her primary appointment in the Department of Medicine. He/she will be expected to teach and/or perform clinical service within this department in a manner that is consistent with standard practices for a tenured or tenure-track faculty within the department. Applicants should be seeking a stimulating, interdisciplinary and collaborative environment in which to pursue research, teaching and clinical care.

MD or MD/PhD, Board certified or Board eligible in Rheumatology
