The Office of Undergraduate Education (UE) at CU Boulder invites applications for The Program Coordinator, Undergraduate Enrichment Programs position! UEP is an academic community of highly engaged learners. Our program model is dedicated to fostering participants' holistic development as individuals, scholars, and professionals.
The Program Coordinator delivers comprehensive student support, coordinates program activities, and offers academic success coaching to participants in the Undergraduate Enrichment Program (UEP). This role involves planning and managing events across UEP’s distinctive programs, such as Boettcher Scholars, Norlin Scholars, and Daniels Scholars. Additionally, the Program Coordinator supports scholar recruitment, oversees scholarship administration, provides personalized coaching to a select group of students, and manages all aspects of the UEP office.
Who We Are
The Office of Undergraduate Education (UE) is a campus office reporting to the Provost, comprised of programs and offices that serve all students across campus, including the University Exploration and Advising Center (UEAC); the Program in Exploratory Studies (PES); First Year Seminars (FYS); International Student Academic Success Programs; Undergraduate Enrichment Programs (UEP) (including Norlin and Boettcher Scholars; the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP); and the Professional and Academic Conference Endowment (PACE)); the Top Scholarships Office; International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS); Education Abroad (EA); the Student Academic Success Center (SASC); the Presidents Leadership Class (PLC); and three ROTC programs (Air Force, Army, Naval).
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Event Planning and Coordination
- Design, organize, and oversee logistics for academic, co-curricular, social, and cultural events across the UEP, Boettcher, Daniels, and Norlin Scholar programs.
- Collaborate with the Chancellor’s Office, Boettcher Foundation, and Daniels Fund to plan and complete end-of-year events.
- Develop and implement effective advertising strategies to promote program events.
- Assess event outcomes, prepare analytical reports, and recommend improvements for future programming.
Scholarship Recipient Selection and Pre/Post Award Coordination and Tracking
- Stay informed about national and institutional trends, policies, and standard processes in scholarship program management.
- Collaborate with departments, such as Scholarship Services, to ensure scholarships are awarded accurately and in compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Supervise the allocation of scholarships to both new and continuing students each semester.
- Maintain up-to-date scholarship applications, award letters, and post-award documentation within the Scholarship Award Management System.
Holistic Scholar Support
- Deliver individualized academic, career, and personal coaching, mentorship, and holistic support to a select cohort of program participants.
- Partner with students’ academic advisors, schools, and colleges to coordinate comprehensive support.
Office Management
- Oversee and maintain UEP’s email and social media accounts, ensuring timely and professional communication.
- Hire, train, and supervise 1-2 student assistants.
What You Should Know
This position is fully on-site and requires a willingness to accommodate a varied schedule that includes some evening and week-end responsibilities.
What We Can Offer
The annual hiring range for this position is $55,100-$60,000.
What We Require
- Bachelor’s Degree and 1+ years of professional experience providing holistic student support services or case management
- Experience in event planning and database management systems
What You Will Need
- Outstanding planning, organizational, and project management skills
- Proficiency with Excel for tracking and reporting.
What We Would Like You to Have
- Experience in a higher education setting
- 2+ years of experience advising or academic coaching in a higher education setting
