Yonghua Du's research focuses on synchrotron X-ray spectroscopy and its application to catalysis, energy materials, and environmental chemistry. The work develops in situ and operando X-ray absorption spectroscopy methods to probe the electronic and structural properties of materials under reaction conditions.
