2026-2027 Student Worker, Subject-Specific Tutor

The Tutor's role is to assist students in academic achievement by clarifying learning obstacles and practicing study strategies. Tutoring is an extension of what is taking place in the classroom and provides students with additional opportunities to take control of their own learning.

Fall 2026 Targeted Subjects

• Math & Accounting
• Biology
• Physics
• Chemistry
• Chemical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Language

Responsibilities:

• Meet with students individually or in small groups (in-person or online) to provide learning/ assistance?
• Maintain an up-to-date schedule of working hours
• Maintain records of tutoring traffic?and meeting notes in Jasper Connect
• Attend tutor training at the beginning of each semester, and additional workshops as deemed necessary by the CAS staff
• Develop educational resources as assigned
• Lead specialty workshops as assigned
• Provide informational class visits as requested

• Successfully complete the targeted course(s) with a minimum of an A- grade
• Overall minimum GPA of 3.2?
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
