2027-2028 PET/Molecular Imaging Fellow
Job Summary
This appointment will be in the 2027-2028 PET/Molecular Imaging Fellowship Program receiving advanced training in PET/Molecular Imaging for diagnosis and treatment monitoring. The position will often supervise and teach residents and medical students. There is the possibility that this position could be extended for one additional year.
ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS
- This position is full or part-time, 50%-100%
- Terminal, 12-month appointment. Position is for one year with the possibility of extending for an additional year
- This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location.
- Contact with vulnerable populations that are non-minors (does not pertain to physicians/providers who work with minors): This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.

Key Job Responsibilities
This position will always function as a trainee for advanced PET CT/PET MR.
In the first six months of the fellowship, the position will function as a trainee when they participate in reading sessions in PET imaging and being involved in molecular imaging. The training includes research time in PET and molecular imaging.
In the second six months of the fellowship, optional independent clinical activity may include general clinical PET examinations using routine radiopharmaceuticals, dependent upon achieving proficiency in reading these studies as obtained during the first six month training period. The position will always function as a trainee when they are developing an academic career in molecular imaging, learning about research methodology, and investigating the new molecular imaging agents.
An additional, and optional, component of this appointment outside of the fellowship is providing independent clinical services for the Department of Radiology as necessary and as assigned by the Department Chair. Work may be carried out at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, Unitypoint Health-Meriter Hospital and/or other radiology outpatient or outreach sites and extended coverage areas as necessary.
