25-26 Research Specialist, All Ranks - School of Medicine, Department of Surgery
The Department of Surgery at the University of California, Irvine, anticipates openings for Junior, Assistant, Associate, and Full Specialists. Applications are sought from candidates with B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degrees, strong laboratory research backgrounds, and publication records. Interdisciplinary skills are required. Positions depend on extramural funding. Rank is based on qualifications and experience. Initial appointments are for one year, with renewal based on support availability. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Basic qualifications: Junior Specialist requires a baccalaureate degree or equivalent; Assistant Specialist requires a master's degree or five years of experience; Associate Specialist requires a master's degree or five to ten years of experience with academic accomplishments; Full Specialist requires a terminal degree or ten or more years of experience with significant academic records.
