Programme Structure
Curriculum:
- The films will be engineered to adhere seamlessly to the ocular surface, ensuring prolonged contact time and enhanced therapeutic outcomes.
- Additionally, the customisation of drug-loaded films will enable personalized treatment strategies, addressing the heterogeneity of anterior segment ocular diseases.
- The proposed research will involve the synthesis and optimisation of biocompatible and biodegradable polymers suitable for 3D printing, ensuring the safety and compatibility of the ocular films using cell culture of corneal epithelial cell lines.
