Ⅰ. University Profile

Anhui Medical University stands as one of the earliest institutions of higher learning in Anhui Province, the first higher medical university, and a key university in this province. It is a co-established institution by the Ministry of Education, the National Health Commission, and the People’s Government of Anhui Province. In 2022, the university was selected among the institutions for the High-Level Public Health Schools Construction Program of the Ministry of Education. The first phase of the New Medical Center, covering 2,137 mu (approximately 353 acres), was fully completed and put into operation in August 2025. As the birthplace of pharmaceutical higher education in Anhui, the university has consistently pioneered, nurtured, and led the development of higher medical education and healthcare services in the province, serving as Anhui’s central hub for medical education, medical research, and healthcare services.

The university is home to 61 provincial and ministerial-level science and technology platforms, including Anhui Provincial Laboratories, Key Laboratories of the Ministry of Education, and Key Laboratories of the National Health Commission. It has advanced the development of the Anhui Institute of Translational Medicine under the framework of “One Institute, Three Campuses, and Five Platforms”, and has been approved to establish a provincial-level Concept Validation Center for the Translation of New-quality Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Achievements. The university has been awarded one Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award and two Second Prizes of the National Award for Science and Technology Progress. The university has secured over 100 approvals from the National Natural Science Foundation of China for six consecutive years, and has won the First Prize of the Anhui Provincial Natural Science Award for seven consecutive years, ranking first among provincial universities in Anhui. In recent years, both the number of industry-commissioned research projects and the amount of industry-funded research funding have ranked first among universities in the province. Over the past five years, AHMU has accumulated more than 1,500 national-level competition awards, also ranking first among Anhui’s provincial universities. Three disciplines, which are Clinical Medicine, Pharmacy, and Public Health and Preventive Medicine, have been selected for the provincial “Double First-Class” cultivation program and the new round of peak discipline development. Twelve disciplines have ranked among the top 1% in the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) global rankings, with Clinical Medicine, Pharmacology and Toxicology ranking among the top 0.1% globally, achieving a historic “zero-to-one” breakthrough for provincial universities in Anhui.

Anhui Medical University currently operates four campuses, comprising 20 directly affiliated teaching organizations, 5 directly affiliated hospitals, and 6 co-affiliated hospitals. The university offers 45 undergraduate programs and is authorized to confer doctoral degrees in 4 first-level disciplines, master’s degrees in 13 first-level disciplines, and hosts 4 postdoctoral research stations. It has been accredited with 12 national first-class undergraduate programs, 16 national first-class courses, and 4 national demonstration centers for experimental teaching and clinical teaching/training.

II. Invited Candidates

IV. Support for Attendees

During the visit, accommodation and meals will be arranged by the university. Invited scholars will be eligible for reimbursement of round-trip travel expenses, subject to the following conditions:

(1) Please book your own tickets and retain all relevant receipts. Reimbursement will be processed after the visit based on actual expenses.

(2) Travel subsidies are provided for economy-class airfare or second-class high-speed rail tickets, with the following maximum limits per person:

Europe & Americas: CNY 15,000

Asia-Pacific: CNY 8,000

Domestic (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan): CNY 5,000

Overseas Talent Visit Subsidy

To sincerely invite you to gain a deeper understanding of our university and ultimately join us, the university offers a full-cycle visit subsidy from your participation in the forum to your formal employment. The details are as follows:

Category I:

For senior researchers at the level of Associate Professor (Associate Research Fellow) or above from globally renowned universities and first-class research institutions, or high-end industrial talents (e.g., chief scientists, chief engineers, or senior R&D personnel from world-renowned technology enterprises), a monthly subsidy of CNY 22,000 per person will be provided to the applicant and accompanying family members, with a maximum of CNY 56,000 per family per month.

Category II:

For postdoctoral researchers or individuals holding a doctoral degree (generally expected from or graduated from globally renowned universities or first-class research institutions), a monthly subsidy of CNY 18,000 per person will be provided to the applicant and accompanying family members, with a maximum of CNY 44,000 per family per month.

Note: Subsidy support will be available for a maximum duration of 6 months and will cease upon the scholar’s formal employment by the university.
