The Indigenous Education & Research Centre (IERC) is seeking an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Administrative Officer to provide high-quality, culturally grounded administrative support to staff, students and community partners.
About the role
You’ll deliver professional, customer-focused administrative services that keep the Centre running smoothly. Your day will include preparing documents and correspondence, coordinating schedules and diaries, managing enquiries, supporting communication across the Centre, and contributing to continuous improvement of processes and service quality.
What you’ll bring
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and administrative systems.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage high volumes of enquiries.
- Strong organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a supportive team.

- Occasional travel within Queensland, including overnight stays, may be required.
