Academic Endocrinology Physician & Division Director of Endocrinology (NTT)
The University of Missouri School of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology is seeking a Division Director of Endocrinology. The Division Director will lead the divisions' efforts to support the academic missions of research, education and clinical service. The division is actively expanding its clinical faculty footprint and is home to a highly reputable fellowship program and a federally funded research enterprise. Research efforts in the division primarily focus on diabetes related cardiovascular disease, therapeutic strategies to improve vascular function, and the mechanisms of insulin resistance, with a special emphasis on diabetic females.
The clinical mission includes inpatient consultation services at the University Hospital main campus and outpatient care at an off site clinic equipped with two state of the art ultrasound systems. The program is supported by clinical diabetes educators, three advanced practice providers, and an expanding faculty base. The fellowship program enrolls six fellows across a structured two year training program.
