Academic Hematopathologist
Position Summary
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is seeking an academic Pathologist with sub-specialty training in Hematopathology for a tenure-track/tenured, fixed-term, or variable track faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
The ideal candidate will have a primary service assignment in hematopathology. Those with interests in flow cytometry or molecular diagnostics are encouraged to apply. Applicants with sufficient experience will be considered for a leadership position as Director of Hematopathology.
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has internationally recognized research programs in a range of disciplines with particularly strong cancer, global health, and benign hematology research. The successful candidate will be eligible for membership in the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. In addition, regular opportunities are available for teaching in the School of Medicine and the Graduate School.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
The applicant must have an MD or DO degree, be American Board of Pathology board-certified or board eligible in Hematopathology as well as Clinical and/or Anatomic Pathology and be eligible to obtain a medical license in North Carolina.

The ideal candidate will have a primary service assignment in hematopathology.
