Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
In this role you will be responsible for assessing the eligibility of students to graduate against academic regulations, resolving student queries with Faculties and academic leaders, and providing clear, timely advice to students and staff. All while supporting the development of improved processes and systems, contributing to automation initiatives, and managing micro-credentials and digital badges. You will engage with a wide range of stakeholders while maintaining high levels of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism in all aspects of academic records management. You will ensure accurate academic records and eligibility checks are completed so students are appropriately informed of their eligibility to graduate. You will manage graduation data, prepare certificates and conferral lists, and work closely with the Events team to support the successful delivery of graduation ceremonies.

You are a highly organised and detail-focused administrator who enjoys working with complex information and delivering high-quality outcomes in a deadline-driven environment.
You will also be able to demonstrate experience in:
- 3 years administration experience and excellent organisational skills, including the ability to cope with competing demands.
- Experience in tertiary or secondary education environments with a strong understanding of the sector.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying policies, rules, or regulations.
- Strong experience managing data, reporting, and high-volume processing with accuracy.
- Advanced practical experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with stakeholders and providing clear advice.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively under pressure.
You will bring strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent service aligned with UC’s values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
Mahi Ngātahi | Who You Will Work With
You will work closely with the Academic Records team, Events team, and Digital Services, as well as Faculty staff, Academic Services Managers, and senior academic leaders. Engaging with external partners and students, acting as a key point of contact for graduation-related enquiries.
