About The Role
These full-time posts are available from 1 August on a permanent basis. The starting salary will be from £30,628 on Grade D depending on knowledge, skills and experience. This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working - some time on campus and some from home.
We're looking for 2 organised, personable administrators to join the Academic Support Administration (ASA) Team. You'll be the first point of contact for academics with day-to-day queries and provide operational support to Heads of Department. This is a varied role and we're a small, friendly team - so flexibility and a collaborative approach are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Diary management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements for Heads of Department
- Expense claims, purchase orders, in compliance with university financial and HR policies
- Onboarding new starters and managing office operations including room bookings, IT equipment, and parking permits
- Coordinating Vivas, Programme Boards, internal events, and guest speaker series
- Temporary staffing and Postgraduate Teaching Assistant (PTA) administration
- Producing the fortnightly UEBS newsletter and scanning/distributing MCQ results

- Proven administrative experience in a busy, people-facing environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Confident handling financial processes and purchasing procedures
- Able to manage a varied workload and shift priorities when needed
- A team player who is approachable, reliable, and happy to help wherever needed
