Accounts Assistant

The Accounts Assistant sits within the Finance Department of CJBS, which facilitates the smooth running of the Business School by managing its financial affairs and providing a professional service to employees, customers, and suppliers, whilst also liaising with other University departments.
The main responsibilities of the Finance Department are billing and income collection, purchase order/invoice processing, applying accounting controls and procedures to safeguard assets, feeding into the University's payroll system, and supplying accurate and timely information to enable the Dean and Faculty Board of the Business School to make informed decisions.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Education to A-level standard/ NVQ level 3 or equivalent level of practical experience.
- Experience working in an accounts environment.
- Experience in using standard Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel.
- Experience of using relevant reporting tools
- Knowledge of facts, principles, processes and general concepts related to Finance/Accounts Administration.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail & organisational skills.
We anticipate interviews will be held during the week commencing 25th May.
