Job Summary
- Support and aid the Course Coordinator in teaching classes to facilitate student learning.
- Adhere to current course outlines and/or syllabi.
- Demonstrate a depth of understanding in the field of Emergency Medical Services at the Basic Emergency Medical Technician, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician, or Paramedic level.
- Attend required training and department meetings, as invited.
- Demonstrate and support professional commitment to division, School, and College mission and values.
- Maintain a supportive attitude toward work, students, colleagues, and administration.
- Support College policies.
- Other job related duties as required.

- Maintains professional etiquette in communications with students, staff, faculty, and administrators.
- Assists in maintaining a safe and mutually respectful instructional environment
- Maintains professional and collegial behavior
- Maintains professional appearance as defined by the discipline and/or College procedure
- Completes all required employee trainings
- Knows and enforces FERPA guidelines
- Provides ADA accommodations as requested
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum qualifications
- Basic Emergency Medical Technician or higher level of certification, currently certified by the Utah Bureau of Emergency Medical Services.
- Two (2) years non-teaching full-time (or full-time equivalent) work experience in Emergency Medical Services as a certified Basic Emergency Medical Technician, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician, or Paramedic level.
- Knowledge and experience in Emergency Medical Services.
- Currently certified as an EMS Instructor by the Utah Bureau of Emergency Medical Services.
