The Department of Art in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for a number of adjunct faculty positions for upcoming Academic Years. We seek applications for candidates qualified to teach in the fields of Art History (BA and/or MA), Graphic Design (BA), and Studio Art (BA and/or MFA). Rank will depend on an applicant’s highest degree earned in Art. The applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Candidates Without a Terminal Degree In Course Subject Area

• 1-2 Credit Course: $2,865
• 3-4 Credit Course: $4,725
• 5-6 Credit Course: $4,938

Candidates With a Terminal Degree In Course Subject Area

• 1-2 Credit Course: $3,414
• 3-4 Credit Course: $5,400
• 5-6 Credit Course: $5,548
