Governors State University's College of Arts and Sciences seeks to create an available pool of Adjunct Faculty candidates to teach courses in our Division of Arts & Letters.
Interested applicants should submit a faculty profile and provide the following materials for review: Curriculum vitae, Cover letter, Transcripts, List of professional references. If available, applicants are encouraged to include a sample syllabus or documentation of a current or recently taught course.
At Governors State University, adjunct faculty are hired as temporary faculty with teaching responsibilities for a specific course in a semester or summer session. Adjunct appointments are instructional in nature, not a part of the faculty bargaining unit, and not included in membership of the Faculty Senate.
The program seeks qualified Adjunct Faculty to teach courses.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree. Experience teaching undergraduate courses at an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral degree. Experience teaching online at an accredited institution.
