Monitor student performance during on-road and lab instruction, ensuring safe vehicle operation at all times. Evaluate student progress, provide timely feedback, and assign final grades. Communicate course expectations clearly to students with varying skill levels. Utilize instructional tools and technology appropriate to course delivery. Maintain accurate records related to student performance and course outcomes. Be available to students for consultation related to coursework, as appropriate. Required Qualifications Possession of a valid commercial driver's license and five (5) years of experience driving with a CDL Class A License without air brake, manual transmission or 5th wheel restrictions. Ten (10) years driving abstract with no violations in the past three (3) years. Preferred Qualifications 2 years' experience teaching CDL at a community college. Documented satisfactory completion of a Trade School certified in commercial truck driving preparation. Demonstrated knowledge of CDL state and federal laws and Washington State traffic laws. Bilingual in English/Spanish. Military experience in the role of heavy truck operator. Compensation Compensation for an adjunct assistant professor is contingent on enrollment and paid in accordance with the contract between the WWCC Board of Trustees and the WWCC Association for Higher Education.
