Required:
Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
Preferred:
Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduates of all abilities. Demonstrated commitment to the use of innovative instructional techniques and technologies including online course management systems. Demonstrated commitment to work with diverse populations, such as under-resourced groups and first-generation students.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Natural & Behavioral Sciences Department periodically seeks a qualified, part-time instructor to teach chemistry courses. Primary responsibilities include the following: Teach assigned courses in accordance with the SRSU’s approved course descriptions. Incorporate appropriate teaching-learning strategies, technologies, and assessment methods for evaluation of student learning into the course. Follow guidelines for preparing and submitting course syllabi. Meet all scheduled classes and adhere to the academic schedule, which includes final exam times. Adhere to professional and ethical standards of conduct. Position is security sensitive.
