Adjunct Instructors of Theatre
Position Description
The Theatre Department invites applications for adjunct faculty to join our dynamic community. This is an ongoing recruitment effort to establish a robust pool of qualified candidates; applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis as specific teaching needs arise throughout the academic year.
Theatre Department Mission: To engage the theatre classroom, studio, and stage as an interdisciplinary laboratory of profound human connection. As a community of theatre artists, we celebrate storytelling as a gift from God and a sacred calling that fosters communal belonging, cathartic healing, and shared joy.
We seek experienced scholar/artists to teach foundational courses in:
- Musical Theatre
- Directing/Dramaturgy
- Playwriting
- Performance
- Tech Theatre and Design
Qualifications
- Education: A minimum of a Master's Degree (M.A. or M.F.A.) or a Ph.D. in Theatre, Performance, or a closely related terminal degree.
- Experience: Demonstrated excellence in college/university-level teaching, preferably within a liberal arts theatre program. Professional experience in relevant theatre disciplines is highly valued.
