About the Role

We are seeking an Administration and Student Support Officer: Indigenous Health (Identified*) to join the Graduate School of Medicine and support the success of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander medical students. You will help foster a culturally safe, inclusive and supportive environment within the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program by providing culturally responsive support, advocacy and connection to key academic, wellbeing and student services.

You will also contribute to the delivery of the GSM Indigenous Health Strategy by building strong relationships with students, Elders, Community organisations and internal stakeholders, and by providing administrative support for Indigenous Health teaching and learning activities. This includes assisting with the organisation of guest lectures, community placements, cultural immersion experiences, student engagement initiatives, and managing key communications for the Indigenous Health team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about student success, community connection and culturally grounded medical education.
