Administrator (Fixed Term)

An opportunity has become available at UIS for an experienced Administrator to join the Information and Cyber Security Team. In this role, you will work closely with the team to provide efficient and high-quality administrative support for the cyber security risk reduction programme.
You will be responsible for coordinating security testing to Colleges. A key aspect of the role is acting as the central point of liaison between external service providers, internal colleagues and colleges across the University to plan and schedule security testing activities, including annual penetration testing cycles. You will support effective communication between all parties, ensuring that testing is carried out according to schedule and that outcomes are delivered to a high standard and within agreed timeframes.
Additionally, you will be delivering administrative support for staff and students in relation to cyber security compliance. This includes the timely preparation, dissemination and maintenance of compliance training, as well as producing regular reports for key stakeholders.
Given the breadth of the role, you will need to be highly organised and confident in managing multiple stakeholders and enquiries across the collegiate University. You will also provide wider administrative support to the team as required.

The successful candidate will have proven administrative experience and strong interpersonal skills demonstrating a proactive, helpful and service-oriented attitude. You will be proficient in using Microsoft Office software, including Word, Access, Excel and Outlook. Well-developed organisational skills, clear and effective communication skills (both written and verbal), and a high degree of self-motivation are essential. You must be able to work with a high level of accuracy, have good attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 years in the first instance.
