All Ranks (Non-tenured)- Assistant/Associate/Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center
The Department of Psychiatry at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center invites applications for full-time faculty positions. The successful candidate will contribute to the department’s mission by engaging in high-impact research, providing exceptional teaching, and/or clinical training. The position offers opportunities for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic academic and clinical environment.

Compensation and academic rank will vary based on credentials, expertise, and experience.
- Conduct and lead innovative research in psychiatry, with a focus on advancing knowledge in mental health, psychiatric disorders, and treatment approaches.
- Publish high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals and actively seek external research funding.
- Teach, supervise and mentor undergraduate, graduate, and/or junior scientists, graduate students, as well as residents and fellows.
- Engage in interdisciplinary collaborations with faculty, clinicians, and researchers across departments.
- Participate in institutional initiatives, academic service and community outreach, including committee work, faculty meetings, and professional development activities.
Minimum:
- Must have an MD or PhD degree.
Other:
- Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry (if applicable).
- Demonstrated research productivity with a record of peer-reviewed publications.
- Consistently strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships.
- The ability to create a high-energy results-oriented work environment that encourages colleagues and staff to value each other’s contributions and the ability to share and celebrate success with colleagues and staff with professionals in other disciplines.
