Allied Health and LPN Apprenticeship Program Coordinator
West Shore Community College seeks a qualified and dedicated Allied Health and LPN Apprenticeship Program Coordinator to provide leadership for the College’s Allied Health and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Apprenticeship program. This position plays a critical role in developing and sustaining healthcare workforce pathways by coordinating program operations, fostering employer and clinical partnerships, supporting student success, and advancing apprenticeship and workforce development initiatives throughout the region and state. The coordinator serves as a key liaison among students, faculty, healthcare employers, clinical partners, the Michigan Workforce Training and Education Collaborative (MWTEC), and workforce organizations to ensure programs meet workforce needs and institutional goals. This position reports to the Director of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership and coordination for Allied Health and LPN Apprenticeship program operations, assessment activities, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and expand partnerships with healthcare employers, clinical agencies, workforce organizations, and apprenticeship partners to support workforce alignment and program growth.
- Advise and support students through onboarding, program progression, and successful completion of program requirements.
- Participate in recruitment, outreach, and workforce development activities to strengthen healthcare career pathways and enrollment.
Required Education/Experience
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in nursing or healthcare.
- Unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within a negotiated timeframe).

Compensation
Starting salary range: $60,174–$72,272, depending on education and experience.
