Join JCU’s Central Queensland Centre for Rural and Remote Health (CQCRRH) and make a meaningful impact on health outcomes for rural, remote and Indigenous communities. We are seeking an enthusiastic Physiotherapist to lead student-assisted service-learning programs and support the development of a skilled, work-ready allied health workforce across Central Queensland.

In this dynamic role, you will deliver innovative, interprofessional service-learning programs for adults and children in areas of high or unmet need, working closely with local health services, community partners and CQCRRH staff. You will provide student supervision, contribute to clinical education, support rural generalist trainees, and help build capacity within the local allied health workforce. You will also play an important role in strengthening the evidence base for rural health workforce models and service delivery.

What you’ll bring:

  • Recognised tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy and APHRA registration
  • Experience as a physiotherapist in rural and/or Indigenous health contexts
  • Commitment to innovative clinical education and community-responsive service provision
  • Strong interdisciplinary practice and collaborative communication skills
  • Experience in program or project management
  • Willingness to travel to remote communities and work flexibly as required
