Overview

Traditional cities often lack attention to proper regeneration and retrofit planning. As a result, the built environment affects the mental and physical health of the inhabitants arising directly from the negative physical attributes.

Features

These are the poor provision of the public realm, hindrance to access to communal space, sick building conditions, and other issues that require interdisciplinary approaches for architectural, urban design and planning intervention.
This research in "An Inter-Disciplinary Approach to Healthy City" from Robert Gordon University is premature for many reasons, and the research premise is potential for architects, planners, urban designers, human geographies, who can explore the health in more profound research concerning urban/rural conditions.

Other requirements — General requirements

Normal entry requirements are a first or upper second class honours degree from a University of the United Kingdom, or from an overseas University, or degree equivalent qualification, subject to the approval of Robert Gordon University.
Applicants holding other qualifications shall be considered on their merits and in relation to the nature and scope of the proposed research programme.
Applicants will normally register for an MSc/PhD or MRes/PhD with transfer to PhD dependent on satisfactory progress. However, applicants who already possess a Master’s degree which includes a significant research component could be registered directly for a PhD, subject to a satisfactory research proposal, and clear evidence of research expertise.

International: Non-residents — 33,644 AUD / year (≈ 17,820 GBP / year)
Domestic: Citizens or residents — 9,451 AUD / year (≈ 5,006 GBP / year)
