Offer Description
The competition is open to individuals who meet the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – the Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742, as amended) and the following eligibility criteria:
- hold a postdoctoral degree in medical and health sciences,
- possess the knowledge and skills to teach chemistry and biochemistry,
- have scientific publications in this field, published in journals or scientific publications, both domestic and foreign,
- have documented academic experience teaching chemistry and biochemistry,
- declare their primary place of employment at the Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz.
For foreign applicants, fluency in spoken and written Polish is required.

Skills/Qualifications
Employment of an academic teacher in the research and teaching staff group based on a fixed-term, full-time employment contract for the 2026/2027 academic year (from October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027).
Specific Requirements
Responsibilities:
- teaching 210 hours of full-time and part-time studies,
- conducting and actively participating in research and development work carried out in accordance with the represented scientific discipline,
- participating in the organizational and development work of the Faculty and the University,
- providing substantive supervision of students' theses,
- organizational work for the Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz, particularly at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Eligibility criteria
Candidates entering the competition are required to submit the following documents:
- a job application,
- a declaration of consent to the processing of personal data (Annex 1),
- a personal questionnaire for the applicant (Annex 2),
- a curriculum vitae,
- copies (photocopies) of diplomas confirming their education (originals available for inspection before signing the contract),
- documents confirming professional experience,
- a list of scientific publications,
- a declaration of compliance with the requirements of Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science (Annex 3),
- copies of certificates and additional attestations,
- a declaration of receipt of information about the internal procedure for reporting violations of law and taking follow-up actions at the Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz (Annex 4),
- a declaration that the Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz will be the primary place of employment within the meaning of the Law on Higher Education and Science (Annex 5).
Documents must be signed by hand or bear a certified electronic signature.
Selection process
Documents should be submitted in person or sent to the University's address: Akademia Nauk Stosowanych w Nowy Sącz, ul. Staszica 1, 33-300 Nowy Sącz, General Secretariat, room 01. The envelope should be marked "Konkurs nr 20 na stanowisko profesora uczelni (k/m) na WLZ" or sent to kadry@ans-ns.edu.pl with the subject line: "Konkurs nr 20 na stanowisko profesora uczelni (k/m) na WLZ."
The deadline for submitting documents is September 21, 2026 (the date of receipt at the University will be decisive). The competition results will be announced by September 25, 2026. Information on the results, along with the justification, will be published in the University's Public Information Bulletin and on the website of the Minister of Education and Science.
Additional comments
The selection committee reserves the right to interview applicants who meet the required qualification criteria. Applications that do not meet the formal requirements or are submitted after the deadline will not be considered. We reserve the right not to conclude an employment contract with the successful applicant if the expected recruitment is not forthcoming in the 2026/2027 academic year. We reserve the right to cancel the competition without providing a reason. The results of the competition do not constitute employment for the applicant, but rather constitute a recommendation to the Rector in this regard. The Rector makes the final decision regarding employment.
