Offer Description
The competition is open to individuals who meet the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018, the Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended) and meet the following eligibility criteria:
- hold a professional master's degree in nursing,
- hold a current document certifying the right to practice as a nurse,
- have at least 2 years of professional experience as a nurse,
- hold a specialist title in surgical nursing or have professional experience in surgical nursing,
- have the knowledge and practical skills to teach subjects including: surgery and surgical nursing, and basics of nursing,
- hold or are in the process of obtaining teaching qualifications or have documented practical experience outside of higher education,
- declare their primary place of employment at the Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz.
For applicants from abroad, fluency in both written and spoken Polish is required.

Employment of an academic teacher in the teaching staff group under a fixed-term, full-time employment contract for the 2026/2027 academic year (from October 1, 2026 to July 31, 2027):

Eligibility criteria
Candidates entering the competition are required to submit the following documents:
- a job application,
- a declaration of consent to the processing of personal data (Appendix 1),
- a personal questionnaire for the applicant (Appendix 2),
- a curriculum vitae,
- copies (photocopies) of diplomas confirming their education (originals available for inspection before signing the contract),
- documents confirming professional experience,
- a declaration of compliance with the requirements of Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science (Appendix 3),
- copies of certificates and additional attestations,
- a declaration of receipt of information about the internal procedure for reporting violations of law and taking follow-up actions at the Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz (Appendix 4),
- a declaration that the Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz will be the primary place of employment within the meaning of the Law on Higher Education and Science (Appendix 5).
Documents must be signed by hand or bear a certified electronic signature.
Selection process
Documents should be submitted in person or sent to the University's address: Akademia Nauk Stosowanych w Nowy Sączu, ul. Staszica 1, 33-300 Nowy Sącz, General Secretariat, room 01. The envelope should be marked "Konkurs nr 19 na stanowisko wykładowcy (k/m) na WLZ" or sent to kadry@ans-ns.edu.pl with the subject line: "Konkurs nr 19 na stanowisko wykładowcy (k/m) na WLZ."
The deadline for submitting documents is September 21, 2026 (the date of receipt at the University will be decisive). The competition results will be announced by September 25, 2026. Information about the results, along with the justification, will be published in the University's Public Information Bulletin and on the website of the Minister of Education and Science.
Additional comments
The competition committee reserves the right to interview applicants who meet the required qualification criteria. Applications that do not meet the formal requirements or those submitted after the deadline will not be considered. We reserve the right not to conclude an employment contract with the successful candidate if the expected recruitment is not forthcoming in the 2026/2027 academic year. We reserve the right to cancel the competition without providing a reason. The competition results do not constitute employment for the candidate; they constitute a recommendation to the Rector in this regard. The Rector makes the final decision regarding employment.
