Job Description
The Applications Developer II position within the Muma College of Business (MDOB) Financial Management (FM) team assists with developing and maintaining reports and web applications that enhance academic coordination across the college. This is an intermediate level professional information technology position; a major function of the unit is the development and support of a specialized application.
Working under the supervision of the Assistant Dean of Financial Management, the Applications Developer II is expected to apply technical knowledge and skills to help plan, develop, update, and maintain static websites, web applications, databases, and servers. The essential functions of positions assigned to this classification must include systems analysis and development, applications programming, and/or database analysis and development. This position requires specialized knowledge of appropriate programming languages and development tools. The position also assists in developing effective reporting tools to support the business unit's information requirements using SQL and appropriate visualizations (such as Microsoft Power BI). The position may also help with supporting other MCOB web development and technical needs, as required.
This position requires the ability to complete most development and programming tasks independently.
