ACCTG-604.01, Governmental and Non-Profit Accounting

Fall Semester 2026 (Part A of Term), 3CU

Meets In-Person Saturdays 9/5, 9/12, 9/26, 10/3, 10/17, 10/24 from 8:30AM-12:30PM, Meets Online Mondays 8/31-10/19 from 7:00PM-9:00PM

Course Description:

This course focuses on the accounting and financial reporting issues of governmental units, not-for-profit organizations, colleges and universities, and some health care entities. The course covers fund accounting and financial reporting for state and local units under GASB Statement No. 34 and not-for-profit accounting principles.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have a Master's or Ph.D. preferred in a relevant area of accounting discipline.

  • Candidates should have a successful record of teaching experience at the undergraduate level and experience/familiarity with online/hybrid instruction in order to prepare for contingencies. This position requires all course work to be performed in the state of California. Candidates must perform all course-related work within the state of California.

Salary: $7,447 and $10,308 dependent on qualifications. The salary range for this position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
