Anatolia American University – U.L.E. (hereinafter Anatolia University) invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean/Vice Provost, a senior academic leadership role reporting directly to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. This position serves the entire institution, providing strategic academic leadership, supporting faculty excellence, advancing the university's mission of high-quality international education.

Position Overview

The Dean/Vice Provost is a key member of the university's senior academic leadership team. The position supports the Provost in implementing the institution's academic strategy, strengthening teaching and research, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, and ensuring academic quality across all schools and programs.

The successful candidate will play a central role in advancing institutional initiatives related to faculty development, academic planning, program quality assurance, accreditation, and student academic success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs in the development and implementation of the universitys academic strategy and priorities.
  • Provide leadership in faculty development, promotion, and evaluation processes.
  • Oversee and coordinate academic program planning, review, and assessment across the university.
  • Support institutional accreditation and quality assurance processes.
  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation in teaching and research.
  • Work closely with the Associate/Assistant Deans, School Chairs, and program directors to ensure academic excellence.
  • Promote student academic success and engagement.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives related to internationalization, research development, and academic partnerships.
  • Represent the Provost in institutional committees and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • A distinguished record of teaching, scholarship, and academic leadership appropriate for appointment at the rank of professor or associate professor.
  • Demonstrated experience in academic administration (e.g., department chair, dean, associate dean, or similar leadership role).
  • Familiarity with international higher education systems, accreditation, and quality assurance processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to academic excellence, diversity, and student-centered education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in international or transnational higher education environments.
  • Demonstrated success in faculty development and research promotion.
  • Experience with institutional accreditation processes and academic program review.

Appointment and Terms

This is a senior academic leadership appointment based at the university's campus in Thessaloniki, Greece. The appointment includes a competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
